Something You Should Never Do
Here's another very simple lesson that requires some self-control on your part. If you follow this one rule, you'll greatly reduce the likelihood of making a bad decision.
Don't ever buy anything if you feel uncomfortable about it in any way.
As I've said before, salesmen don't want you to leave without buying. And they have lots of tricks to prevent that from happening. They try very hard to get your emotions involved so that you'll make a decision on the spot.
It's ok to let your emotions influence your decision to buy. After all, you need to really like what you're buying. But make sure it's the right decision rationally as well.
Pay attention to that little voice in the back of your mind. Listen to those nagging little thoughts that are giving you a hint that something isn't right. Don't try to convince yourself that there's no problem if something inside you says there is.
If anything doesn't feel right, then don't buy. If you have any doubts, then don't buy. Get your doubts out in the open. Have the salesman address them. Make sure you're satisfied with his answers.
If you just can't get rid of that nagging feeling, then don't buy. Go home. Think about it once you've removed yourself from that environment. Many times, this will save you from making a bad decision.
Of course, sometimes just spending hundreds of dollars can make you feel uncomfortable. It does for me. That won't go away. But you need to make sure you've covered all your bases with the bed. You need to believe it really is a good bed. So be sensible, and don't just buy because you're excited or afraid.
